Rainer Effinger appointed Managing Director of NORD Holding

After studying economics at the universities of Freiburg and Bonn Effinger started his career with the Bertelsmann Group followed by a stint with a listed business enterprise before moving to NORD Holding in Hanover in 2002. Here he was chiefly responsible for the strategic development of the fund of funds business in Western Europe.
With almost 40 years' experience NORD Holding is one of the longest established private equity companies in Germany. Its investment activities focus on the acquisition of medium sized companies in the course of corporate succession planning and spin-offs of medium sized business units from corporations.
Furthermore, the company manages a funds volume of just over € 500 million as part of its fund of funds business segment. This fund of funds is active in private equity funds in Germany and other European countries.
