NORD Holding takes a stake in the tissue products market

Paper + Design, headquartered in Wolkenstein, Saxony, produces and markets napkins, tablecloths and other tissue products for decorative table settings.
The company's distinctive designs and product quality ensure that it stays ahead of the crowd. Its sales partners are therefore exclusive gift stores, florists and upmarket specialist outlets. The company expects turnover of roughly Euro 30 mil. for 2005. Founded in 1999 by Henry Oertel and Walter Nöthen the company has gone from strength to strength in the succeeding years to establish itself successfully in the market. The families of the founders still retain an appreciable stake in the enterprise.
NORD Holding's investment will enable the company over the next few years to prepare for a successor. International markets in particular offer the company growth opportunities. Its export share is already 70% with 20% of turnover generated in the USA alone. Further penetration of export markets is intended to secure the long term future of the company's location south of Chemnitz and provide opportunities to expand the current number of 112 employees.
