Five decades of investments in SMEs
On June 13th, 2019, NORD Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH celebrates its 50th anniversary in Hanover. NORD Holding is expecting over 200 guests from all over Europe to the event. As a guest speaker, Friedrich Merz, Vice President of the Economic Council of the CDU and Chairman of the Atlantic Bridge, will speak about the currently challenging developments in Europe – in politics as well as for entrepreneurs.
Founded in 1969, NORD Holding is one of the oldest private equity companies in Europe and today has a leading position in the German investment market with assets under management of over € 2 billion. NORD Holding has continuously developed over the years and has capitalized on business opportunities that emerged in the market. For instance, NORD Holding started the Fund Investments Division in 2001. Moreover, the Direct Investments Division successfully raised their first fund in 2014, which invests parallel to NORD Holding’s evergreen structure. The investor base has been expanded continuously and today consists of banks, pension funds, insurance companies and family offices.
