IBB Institut für Berufliche Bildung AG was founded in 1985 by Sigrid Baumann-Tornow in Buxtehude and has grown over four decades into one of Germany’s leading providers of government-funded education. IBB offers a comprehensive educational portfolio with a focus on vocational training and occupational retraining, comprising more than 850 certified, predominantly digital course modules, approximately 700 employees, and a nationwide presence across around 70 proprietary locations and more than 1,000 partner locations via the VIONA network.

NORD Holding has held a majority stake in IBB since 2026, investing as part of a primary transaction, and actively supports management on its planned growth path. The development focus is on the systematic expansion of the VIONA partner network, the scaling of digital infrastructure and organisational capabilities, and the targeted broadening into new education segments – both organically and through acquisitions.
