NORD Holding sells stake in Lenzing Plastics

NORD Holding acquired a 30 % interest in Lenzing Plastics in 2015, alongside its Austrian partners, INVEST EQUITY, Vienna. The transaction was part of a de-merger and a typical opportunity for NORD Holding. We have built up a wealth of experience and expertise in this field," comments Mirco Thelen, who supervised NORD Holding's investment. "Excellent cooperation between investors and the company's very professional management allowed Lenzing Plastics to thrive throughout the holding period. Joint investment decisions, the focus on sales activities and an expansion of the niche strategy in the PTFE field contributed to the successful development of the business."
With turnover of around € 120 m in 2017, Lenzing Plastics is a global leader for polyolefin and fluoropolymer products, with a focus on monoaxial extrusion of polymers. Lenzing Plastics' thermoplastic production supplies films, tapes and yarns, fabrics as well as laminates with a high strength. Extensive expertise in the PTFE field enables the company to develop and manufacture high-quality specialist products. Lenzing Plastics thus offers special solutions in the fields of construction & insulation, medicine & hygiene, packaging, cable industry, automotive and technical textiles.
