NORD Holding acquires pharmaceutical company NEC MED

NEC MED PHARMA is a specialist pharmaceutical and medical product trader in Germany. The company possesses a wide range of suppliers across all trade levels and distributes for a large number of established manufacturers. In 2016 NEC MED is achieving turnover of € 90 million and has about 50 employees. An average annual growth rate of 10 % has allowed the company to expand continually over recent years.
The participation of NORD Holding is intended to facilitate further expansion of the leading market position. "In line with the wish of my fellow shareholders to dispose of their shares, I have identified in NORD Holding an experienced partner, who promises to provide the best support for continuation of our growth", is the comment from long-established Manager Sven Rübner, who in future will remain managing shareholder in company leadership.
Completion of the transaction remains subject to approval from antitrust authorities.
It is a great pleasure for us to make this the third acquisition we have signed this year. We recognise significant potential in NEC MED both in the German market and in expanding our international position.
