NORD Holding acquires compressor manufacturer Bock
NORD Holding is acquiring all shares of the Bock Group from the GEA Group Aktiengesellschaft, a listed industrial group (MDAX) based in Düsseldorf, as part of a carve-out. The transaction includes Bock GmbH (Germany) and its subsidiaries in the Czech Republic and India, as well as its sites in China and Australia. After the separation from the GEA Group, the Bock Group will continue to pursue its growth course with the support of NORD Holding.
The Bock Group is a leading manufacturer of open and semi-hermetic piston compressors for stationary and transport-related cooling applications. The internationalization pursued so far is to be further expanded and the export share increased accordingly. The company employs around 340 people worldwide, who have generated sales of around EUR 90 million.

Since its foundation in 1932, the Bock Group has developed into a leading manufacturer of technologically sophisticated piston compressors for cooling and refrigeration technology. The market segments addressed are primarily cooling and refrigeration technology for mobile applications in bus, rail and transport (reefer, trucks & trailers). The areas of retail (supermarkets) and food processing as the most important stationary applications complete the Bock Group's product range. International customers are supported in over 10 sales locations worldwide.The company employs around 340 people worldwide and has production sites in Frickenhausen (Germany), Kostelec u Stříbra (Czech Republic), Bangalore (India) and Suzhou (China). Two thirds of the employees work at the company's headquarters in Frickenhausen, Germany.
With a 50-year history and assets under management of € 2.5 billion NORD Holding is one of the leading private equity asset management companies in Germany. The focus is on the direct investment and fund of funds investment divisions.
The focus of direct business is on structuring and financing corporate succession models, the takeover of group divisions/subsidiaries and expansion financing for medium-sized companies.
